She was placed in my arms on the 21st in Nanchang, Jiangxi.

Here are some pictures of our wonderful children. Olivia is a shy, sweet girl who loves being a big sister. She is 3 1/2 and is from XiangYin SWI Hunan Province. Our son Owen is adventurous and loving. He is 2 1/2 and is from Shantou, Guangdong Province.

The first picture was taken in July of 2009. It is a picture of Olivia and Owen right before their first gymnastics class. The second picture was also taken on the first day of gymnastics! The rest of the pictures were taken in May of 2009 by a friend!

We are having a ton of fun this summer. It amazes me everytime I look at my children and think about how much they have grown.

We received our referral in Aug 2006, but the referral pic was taken in the famous Hello Kitty Chair (FengCheng SWI, Jiangxi) on May 24th. I found a HK Chair online and each May 24 I take a pic of Dori in a yellow outfit. Look how much she's grown!! Submitted by Diana

By submitting your photo, you are giving From China With Love permission to post your photos on this blog. Photos with watermarks will be accepted. We can change the orientation of your photo if needed. Please include as much or little information as you would like about the photos, including a link to your family blog if you'd like it posted. Are you a business with a product or service aimed at families who have or are adopting from China? FCWL offers two advertising options, each posting for one month: Deluxe and Basic Ads. Scroll down to see how you can get free advertising!

Deluxe ads will be posted in 2 places on the site. First is a graphic ad which will appear right below the Featured Photo of the Week. It can be animated or static. The graphic is limited to 130 pixels at it's widest dimension. Larger graphics can be resized by FCWL. The image below points out the placement of the graphic part of the Deluxe ad. Deluxe ads will also appear on Basic ad link list.

Basic ads are text ads that will appear in a linklist further down the sidebar below the About and will be a business name with link. The image below points out the placement of the basic text ad.All ads will appear in order of date purchased.

Want free advertising? There are 3 ways you can get free advertising at From China With Love. First is a review of your product. You send one of your products for one of the FCWL editors to test out and then they will do a write up about your product with photos and links to your site. Second is a review & giveaway combination. In addition to the review, you will offer a free product to the winner of this giveaway. Finally, you can donate one of your products as a prize for one of our monthly photo challenge. You will get a little write up with links to your business on this option too. Who runs this site?

This site is run by Diana, mommy to Dori who was adopted from China in Oct 2006.

How did you come up with the idea for this site?

I am addicted to blogging (I've lost count of how many blogs I have) and I wanted to come up with a popular blog. All those fun blogs out there...I ♥ Faces, Cake Wrecks, Fail Blog, Pioneer Woman, all started out from a simple idea. I LOVE seeing then & now photos of kiddos...so I came up with this blog idea. Obviously the number of people in the China Adoption community isn't HUGE, so the site will never get the readership of those blogs I just listed, but I think many will enjoy seeing all the beautiful children. Who doesn't love to see a before and after of a sweet child?

Does everyone need to submit a photo?

Submitting is optional. So is the information sent in. You can include as much or little information about your child when you send in their photo. You can just use an initial or nickname. I will only post photos that are sent it. I will never pull photos off a blog.

How do I get my photos posted?

Read the Submit Your Photos link for information.

How do I get my photo to be the featured photo

Just ask! I will be changing the featured photo a few times each month. Just email me and let me know if you have a photo to post there. I will email and ask people for photos from time to time.

How many photos can I send in? How often?

Since the site is new I am not setting any limits on how many photos. As far as frequency, I'd say no more than once a week. But like I said above, everyone loves a cute face, so I don't want to set too many limits.

What size photo should I send in?

There is no size limit. I will upload them via blogger photo uploader.

What is the monthly photo challenge?

There will be a themed photo challenge put up the last week of each month. The themes will be fun and easy to do. Mostly likely you will already have a photo you have taken that you can use. Themes will be something like like hats, eyes, silly, or maybe a holiday theme. Instructions on how to participate will be posted each month and one participant will be randomly picked to win a prize.

Can I get my blog on the list of blogs of children posted?

Yes, just make sure you include a link to your blog when you submit your photos.

Can I advertise my business?

Yes! See the advertising link for more information. There is information there how you can exchange goods for review/giveaway in exchange for free advertising. I am looking for prizes for our monthly photo contest. You get free advertising if you donate a prize.

Can I help out on this blog?

As the site gets busier, I will be adding some admins to the site. But the best thing you can do now is spread the word on your blog, yahoo groups, or forums. Grab one of our buttons on the sidebar or the banner code below. Just copy & paste the html code from the box below the graphic you want to post into your blog post (in edit html mode) or into an html/java gadget on your sidebar.
